A teacher-approved, silver-plated student flute built for terrific response and easy playing, with an offset G ergonomically positioned specifically to reduce hand strain for young beginners.
About the Selmer Aristocrat FL600
The FL600's closed-hole design and silver-plated headjoint and body follow a standard, well-proven beginner specification, with a top-adjusting mechanism that keeps repair and setup work straightforward for teachers and repair techs alike. Its C footjoint provides the standard low-C range expected of an entry instrument, without the added weight and complexity of a B foot a true beginner doesn't yet need.
Selmer specifically markets the FL600 as teacher approved and recommended - a meaningful distinction in student instrument buying, since band directors who see hundreds of beginner flutes pass through their programs tend to favor models proven not to develop mechanical issues during a student's first year.

Sound character of the Selmer Aristocrat FL600
Its silver-plated body and fully closed, plateau-style keys give the sealed, clean, fairly bright response typical of student flutes at this level, without the added tonal weight a sterling-silver headjoint or B foot would bring. The offset G key placement is purely ergonomic - it changes hand position, not tone.
