A compact, offbeat-shaped bass from Squier's short-lived Paranormal series, fitted with two humbucking pickups rather than the single-coil or split-coil layouts typical of Fender-family basses.
About the Squier Paranormal Rascal Bass HH
The Paranormal series revived unusual body shapes and pickup combinations not part of Fender/Squier's mainstream Stratocaster/Telecaster/Precision/Jazz lineage, and the Rascal Bass HH is one of its bass entries: a small-bodied, short-scale instrument carrying two humbucking pickups instead of the single split-coil of a Precision Bass or the dual single coils of a Jazz Bass. That HH layout gives a thicker, less scooped tone than Fender's own traditional bass pickups, closer to the humbucker-loaded basses of other manufacturers than to a standard P or J Bass.
As a Paranormal-series instrument, it was positioned as a novelty/alternative option within Squier's catalog rather than a mainstream workhorse bass, built to the brand's usual import cost point. It has since been discontinued along with the rest of the short-lived Paranormal line, making surviving examples a way to get an unusual pickup configuration not replicated in Squier's current core range.

Sound character of the Squier Paranormal Rascal Bass HH
Dual humbuckers on this offset-body short-scale bass give it a more aggressive, punchy, midrange-forward attack than a single-coil-equipped bass of similar size, with the humbuckers' higher output driving a fuller growl.
