D Z Strad Double Bass Model 300 (1/2)

About the D Z Strad Double Bass Model 300 (1/2)

As with the rest of D Z Strad's numbered instrument system, the Model 300 applies incrementally more careful tonewood selection and setup work than the 100 and 200 below it, aimed at a student whose technique has advanced enough to benefit from that refinement. Retaining the 1/2 size means this remains an option specifically for players who need the smaller body dimensions rather than a full-size adult bass.

This graduated approach across model numbers, all sharing the same 1/2 size, lets a bass program offer meaningful quality upgrades to a smaller-framed student without needing to reassess sizing at each step - the size stays constant while tonal quality improves.
