A lightweight professional Stradivarius tenor trombone with a smaller bore, built for jazz and lead players who want Bach's tonal pedigree in a faster, more agile straight horn.
About the Bach LT16M Stradivarius
The LT16M's medium-small bore and lighter overall construction depart from the larger-bore orchestral 42-series Stradivarius trombones, aimed specifically at players prioritizing quick slide action and articulate response over the broader dynamic range an orchestral bore provides. Its 'LT' designation signals this lightweight build philosophy, carrying Bach's Stradivarius reputation into a genre where lead and jazz trombonists have different priorities than symphonic players.
Without an F attachment, the LT16M keeps the instrument as light and fast as possible - the same reasoning that has made straight horns a jazz and commercial-playing standard for generations - while still delivering the centered, professional-grade tone that made the Stradivarius name synonymous with quality brass instruments in the first place.

Sound character of the Bach LT16M Stradivarius
The LT16M uses a medium-small bore rather than the larger bores of full orchestral trombones, which speeds up response and brightens the tone especially in the upper register - exactly the efficient, cutting character lead and jazz trombonists favor over the broader, heavier weight of an orchestral bore instrument.
