Casio PX-770 Privia

About the Casio PX-770 Privia

Unlike Casio's slimline stage-oriented Privia models, the PX-770 is built as console furniture from the ground up - a fixed cabinet with an integrated stand and a genuine three-pedal unit (sustain, sostenuto, soft) that mimics an acoustic upright's footprint and playing experience rather than requiring a separate keyboard stand and single sustain pedal. Its scaled hammer-action keyboard delivers the same graduated touch feel found across Casio's Privia range, heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble.

This console format specifically targets a home-buying decision different from a stage keyboard purchase: a family wanting a permanent, furniture-appropriate piano for a living room or practice space, where the always-assembled cabinet and full pedal set matter more than portability - a genuinely different use case from Casio's compact PX-S line aimed at gigging musicians.

Sound character of the Casio PX-770 Privia

Uses Casio's standard AiR sound engine (fewer dynamic sample layers than the morphing AiR in Casio's flagship models), giving a warm but comparatively simpler, less continuously graded tone across the velocity range. The console's built-in three-pedal unit and furniture cabinet add a bit more resonant body to the sound than a purely portable slab piano.
