Price history
Availability: 6/10 (Common)
A near-full-size Bravo III with 37 piano keys and 80 bass buttons covering fundamental bass, counter bass, and major/minor/seventh chords - one step below the flagship 96 and 120-bass models.
About the Hohner Bravo III 80
The Bravo III 80 uses 37 right-hand piano keys spanning F to F, larger than the 72-bass model's 34 keys, paired with 80 left-hand bass buttons. Those 80 buttons cover the fundamental bass note, a counter/alternate bass note, and major, minor and dominant-seventh chord buttons for each key - the full standard chord vocabulary minus the diminished-seventh row found on 96- and 120-bass instruments, a row rarely used outside jazz and certain classical repertoire.
Like the rest of the Bravo III range, it includes Hohner's Silent Key mechanism to reduce keyboard noise, a Soft Touch treble keyboard, and an improved bass mechanism. This mid-to-upper tier suits players who want most of a full accordion's harmonic vocabulary without needing the diminished chords the largest bass layouts add.

Sound character of the Hohner Bravo III 80
Sitting between the 72- and 96-bass Bravo models, its 80 bass buttons cover major/minor/seventh chords but omit the diminished row the larger models add - harmonically capable for popular and folk repertoire, but not built for the full jazz chord vocabulary of the flagship models.
