Availability: 0/10 (Very rare)
A serious step-up flute for advancing and pre-professional players, distinguished from standard Quantz models by a 3K solid gold alloy lip plate on its sterling silver Largo headjoint.
About the Pearl 665 Quantz Vigore
The Vigore designation adds a genuinely different headjoint spec to Pearl's Quantz line: a sterling silver Largo cut with a 3K gold-alloy lip plate and silver riser over a silver-plated body, footjoint and keys - the gold lip plate specifically chosen for the way it interacts with a player's embouchure to add warmth and edge that a fully silver lip plate doesn't provide. B footjoint, split E, and both a C# trill key and D# roller come standard rather than as costly add-ons, a fuller specification than entry step-up flutes typically include out of the box.
Its French open-hole construction, pointed key arms and Pearl's signature One-Piece Core-Bar Construction carry the same long-term mechanical reliability engineering found across Pearl's range, meaning the Vigore's step up in tone doesn't come at the cost of the durability a serious student needs from a daily-practice instrument.

Sound character of the Pearl 665 Quantz Vigore
Its sterling silver Largo-cut headjoint already gives a warmer, richer core tone than a plated headjoint, and the added 3K gold lip plate pushes that further - gold is denser than silver, and a gold lip plate is a well-established way to deepen and warm a flute's fundamental tone right at the point where the air stream first meets metal. The B foot and open-hole keys add further resonance and tonal shading on top of that.

The history of the Pearl 665 Quantz Vigore
Pearl developed the Vigore variant within its Quantz series specifically to give advancing and pre-professional players a gold-lip-plate headjoint option without moving to a full professional-tier flute.
