A straight tenor trombone from Yamaha's 350 series, sharing the line's dependable dual-bore slide and yellow brass bell without an F attachment, aimed at players who don't yet need the extended range.
About the Yamaha YSL-352
The YSL-352 shares its core bell and slide manufacturing with the F-attachment-equipped models in Yamaha's 350 series, but omits the extra tubing and valve - keeping the horn lighter and the slide action faster for players prioritizing agility over extended low range. This straight-horn configuration mirrors the traditional jazz and commercial-playing preference for an F-attachment-free trombone, applied at Yamaha's standard-tier build quality.
Yamaha's consistency across its trombone range means a YSL-352 player transitioning later to an F-attachment model within the same 350 series encounters familiar slide feel and bell response rather than an unrelated tonal character - continuity that eases a genuine step-up decision when a player's repertoire eventually calls for the added range.

Sound character of the Yamaha YSL-352
As a straight horn without an F attachment, the YSL-352 keeps its dual-bore slide's air path short and direct, giving the bright, clean, quick-speaking response typical of yellow brass straight tenors - a simpler, more standard-tier alternative to the King 2B's jazz-focused voicing but built on the same short-air-column principle.
