Akord Kvint Ars Music Double Bass (1/8)

About the Akord Kvint Ars Music Double Bass (1/8)

Akord Kvint draws on a long Czech tradition of string instrument craftsmanship, and its Ars Music line applies that same manufacturing care to fractional-size instruments rather than reserving quality construction for full-size adult basses - a genuinely different approach than treating small sizes as an afterthought. The 1/8 size serves the youngest double bass students, typically elementary-age children whose height and reach are far below what even a 1/4 size would suit.

Properly built small-fraction basses are relatively uncommon compared to the abundance of full and 3/4 size instruments on the market, since fewer very young students take up double bass compared to violin - a genuinely well-made 1/8 bass from an established maker like Akord Kvint fills a real gap for programs introducing double bass to the youngest possible age group.

Sound character of the Akord Kvint Ars Music Double Bass (1/8)

Despite its very small 1/8 size for the youngest students, the Akord Kvint uses professional-quality carved construction rather than budget laminate, giving it a warmer, more resonant tone than typical small student basses - though the short scale still limits how much low-end depth it can produce compared to a full-size instrument.
