Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit

About the Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit

The Turbo Mesh Kit's mesh-head pads flex under stick impact in a way that more closely approximates an acoustic drumhead's response than the harder rubber pads typical at this price tier, giving a genuine playing-feel upgrade over comparably priced rubber-pad kits. Its compact frame and simplified module keep the overall package accessible for a first-time electronic drum buyer, without asking a beginner to pay for the additional features and larger pad sizes found on higher-tier mesh kits.

Alesis has built a broader strategy of bringing premium electronic drum features - mesh pads here, expanded modules elsewhere - down to entry-level price points across its various kit lines, and the Turbo Mesh Kit represents that approach specifically applied to playing feel for a genuine first electronic drum set.

Sound character of the Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit

As with other electronic kits, the sound comes entirely from the onboard module's samples rather than the mesh pads themselves, which mainly determine stick feel and rebound. Being an entry-level model with a compact frame, its module draws on a smaller sample library than higher-tier Alesis kits, giving a functional but less dynamically layered tone.
