About the Yanagisawa T-WO2

Like its alto counterpart, the T-WO2 carries Yanagisawa's WO-series engineering across its whole build: a re-engineered bore and upgraded tone holes for tonal range and intonation, fully ribbed construction and double key arms for long-term mechanical stability, and an underslung octave mechanism with a sway-free F-auxiliary key to minimize the play that develops in lesser linkages over years of use.

Its hand-engraved bell is applied individually to each instrument rather than via a repeated stamped pattern, a labor-intensive detail Yanagisawa maintains across its professional tenors as much for the subtle resonance effect some players attribute to engraving as for its appearance. Air-tight waterproof pads and needle springs round out a build aimed at professional and advancing players wanting Yanagisawa's engineering-first approach in a brass-bodied tenor.
