A six-voice polyphonic hybrid synthesizer extending the MicroFreak's multi-algorithm digital oscillator concept with dual independent oscillator engines and genuine polyphony rather than the MicroFreak's monophonic design.
About the Arturia MiniFreak
The MiniFreak carries forward the selectable digital synthesis algorithms - wavetable, physical modeling, and others - that defined the MicroFreak, but doubles the concept with two independently selectable oscillator engines per voice, letting a player combine two genuinely different synthesis types within a single patch. Combined with true 6-voice polyphony, this moves the design decisively beyond the MicroFreak's single-voice, single-oscillator scope into full chord and pad territory.
Its analog filter section, paired with the flexible digital oscillator engines, follows the same hybrid philosophy Arturia established with the MicroFreak - digital sound generation for breadth and modern algorithmic variety, analog filtering for the warmth and character that pure digital filtering often lacks - scaled up into a genuinely capable polyphonic instrument.

Sound character of the Arturia MiniFreak
MiniFreak uses the same digital oscillator engine as the MicroFreak (offering wavetable, formant, physical-modeling and other digital algorithms) but adds full 6-voice polyphony and dual analog-modeled filters, giving it a brighter, more complex, digitally-sourced core tone shaped through classic analog-style filtering.
