Elektron Syntakt

About the Elektron Syntakt

The Syntakt's 12 tracks split between dedicated analog drum synthesis voices and digital tracks capable of both synthesis and sample playback, meaning a producer can build a kick, snare and hi-hat from genuine analog circuitry while simultaneously running melodic synth lines and sampled elements on other tracks - all within the same sequencing environment rather than juggling separate drum machine and synthesizer hardware. Elektron's parameter-lock sequencing lets each step of every track carry its own unique settings, turning simple patterns into constantly evolving arrangements.

As part of Elektron's broader analog/digital hybrid instrument lineup alongside the Analog Four and Digitone, the Syntakt extends that philosophy specifically into drum and rhythm production, aimed at producers who want the punch of real analog drum circuits without giving up the flexibility and sample-based sound design a purely analog drum machine can't offer.

Sound character of the Elektron Syntakt

Syntakt combines dedicated analog drum-synthesis circuits (for kick, snare, hi-hat/cymbal and analog percussion tracks) with digital synth-engine tracks, so its character splits between punchy, physically-driven analog drum transients and cleaner, more precise digital percussion and tonal sounds within the same machine.
