Canadian builder Dingwall's signature model for Adam "Nolly" Getgood (Periphery bassist and prominent metal mixing engineer), built around Dingwall's patented fanned-fret system and voiced for modern, low-tuned metal.
About the Dingwall NG3 Adam "Nolly" Getgood Signature 5-String
The NG3 uses Dingwall's Novax-licensed fanned-fret fingerboard, in which each fret is angled rather than running perpendicular to the neck, giving the low strings a longer scale (up to roughly 36.25 inches on the five-string's B) for tighter low-end tension while the higher strings stay at a shorter, more comfortable scale near 34 inches. The bolt-on maple neck carries 24 fanned frets over an alder body, paired with Dingwall's own FD3-N neodymium pickups wired in series/parallel/series switching for a wide range of tonal density.
What sets the NG3 apart from Dingwall's other signature and production models is its onboard Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp, a 3-band active EQ voiced in collaboration with Darkglass Electronics specifically for the aggressive, saturated low end associated with modern djent and progressive-metal production - the genre Getgood is best known for both as a player in Periphery and as a mixing engineer. The Hipshot/Dingwall bridge and tuners allow fine adjustment of string spacing and intonation per string, a detail that matters more on a fanned-fret instrument than on a conventional straight-fret bass.

Sound character of the Dingwall NG3 Adam "Nolly" Getgood Signature 5-String
The fanned-fret fingerboard gives the low B string a longer scale (up to about 36.25 inches) for tighter tension and a more defined, less floppy low end than a straight-fret bass at the same standard scale, while the neodymium FD3-N pickups with series/parallel/series switching and the Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp add high output and an aggressive, modern edge geared toward drop-tuned, high-gain playing.
