A 26-string, 3.5-octave lever harp with a solid ash frame and laminated birch soundbox shaped for ergonomic comfort against the player's body, sized for laps and small rooms rather than a floor-standing concert harp.
About the Dusty Strings Ravenna 26
The Ravenna 26 uses a solid ash neck and pillar with a laminated Finland birch soundboard and soundbox - laminated rather than solid wood for the box itself, which Dusty Strings uses across its harps for consistent, predictable tone rather than the more variable character of solid-wood soundboxes. The soundbox has a rounded, staved-back shape rather than a flat back, designed specifically to sit more comfortably against a seated player's body during long practice sessions.
At 26 strings and 3.5 octaves (1C to 5C), monofilament and wrapped nylon strung, it's one of the smaller harps in Dusty Strings' range - roughly 39 inches tall at the base configuration, extendable to 54 or 66 inches with optional drop-down leg extensions for standing play. Full Loveland sharping levers come pre-installed on the lever model; buyers of the lever-less base model get pre-drilled lever holes so levers can be added later without modification. It ships with a stand, 12-inch legs, a deluxe transport case and tuning key.

Sound character of the Dusty Strings Ravenna 26
The Ravenna 26 pairs a solid ash frame with a laminated birch soundbox - ash adds brightness and projection while laminated birch tends toward a milder, more even response than solid spruce, giving an intimate, warm tone suited to its compact lap-and-small-room sizing rather than concert-hall volume.
