A synthesizer built around a genuinely pressure- and motion-sensitive keyboard rather than a standard velocity-only design, letting a player shape sound continuously after a note is struck rather than only at the moment of attack.
About the Expressive E Osmose
The Osmose's keybed detects downward pressure, side-to-side motion and vertical position per key continuously, not just velocity at strike - a fundamentally different playing interface from a standard synth keyboard, closer to how a wind or string player shapes tone throughout a note's duration rather than fixing it at onset. This per-note continuous control is what MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) was designed to carry, and the Osmose implements it natively in both keyboard and sound engine.
Its hybrid sound engine combines physical modeling with virtual analog synthesis, chosen specifically because physical modeling responds naturally to continuous input in ways static sample playback or simple subtractive synthesis can't - a player's ongoing finger pressure and movement genuinely changes the sound's physical behavior in real time, not just its volume or filter cutoff.

Sound character of the Expressive E Osmose
The Osmose pairs a continuous, pressure- and position-sensing keybed with physical-modeling resonator synthesis, so notes respond to how they're touched the way a bowed string or blown reed would - producing organic, breathing, woodwind- and string-like textures with per-note vibrato and dynamics rather than the fixed timbre of a triggered oscillator.
