Yamaha YAS-200ADII Advantage

About the Yamaha YAS-200ADII Advantage

The Advantage line's ABS plastic case is a deliberate departure from the softer cases found on retail student saxophones, designed for the repeated handling and transport a school rental fleet experiences across many different students each year rather than one careful owner. The horn itself uses a yellow brass neck, body and bell under clear baked epoxy lacquer, with nickel-plated keys standing up to frequent cleaning between rental cycles.

A redesigned neck receiver and improved low B-C# mechanism address the same reliability concerns Yamaha built into its retail student saxophones, ensuring the low C# key closes consistently for a clear response even after the instrument has passed through several different young players' hands - exactly the kind of durability a school program depends on when the same physical horn serves student after student.
