Cremona's true entry-level violin below the SV-175: the same hand-carved solid spruce and maple construction, with steel strings and a form-fitted nylon case rather than the SV-175's premium string and case upgrades.
About the Cremona SV-130
The SV-130 sits below the SV-175 as Cremona's genuine novice-tier instrument, sharing the same all hand-carved, all-solid spruce and maple body construction in a traditional DS brown finish. Ebony fittings and fingerboard, a lightweight composite tailpiece with four smooth fine-tuners, and correctly fitted Swiss-style ebony pegs match the specification a step up in Cremona's range - the difference from the SV-175 is mainly in strings and case rather than the core wood and craftsmanship.
Where the SV-175 ships with premium D'Addario Prelude strings, the SV-130 uses premium steel strings instead, still set with correct string height, spacing and neck relief for accurate intonation. The outfit includes a low-profile chinrest, an oiled neck, and a well-balanced Anton Breton AB-112 brazilwood bow, in a durable water-resistant nylon-covered case rather than the SV-175's Travelite hygrometer case - a genuinely simpler but still solid-wood beginner outfit.

Sound character of the Cremona SV-130
As Cremona's entry Premier Novice model, the SV-130 uses basic solid-wood construction and a simple factory setup that favors clear, bright projection and easy string response over the tonal complexity of the brand's higher Premier tiers - a straightforward first-instrument voicing.
