About the Cordoba C5-CET Limited
The C5-CET Limited takes Cordoba's C5 body and reworks it for stage use: the lower-bout depth is reduced to 70mm (a standard classical runs closer to 100mm), which cuts weight to around 1.6kg and curbs feedback at volume without changing the scale or nut width. The back and sides are spalted maple - wood that has begun to decay under controlled fungal exposure before drying, leaving dark, irregular streak patterns unique to each set - over a solid spruce top with traditional fan bracing.
A Venetian cutaway opens access to the upper frets, unusual on a classical instrument built to Cordoba's standard 650mm scale and 50mm nut width, with a mahogany neck and pau ferro fingerboard across 19 frets. Electronics are a Fishman Presys II system: an undersaddle piezo pickup feeding an onboard preamp with volume, bass, treble and phase controls plus a built-in tuner, mounted on the upper bout. The rosette is hand-inlaid wood rather than printed, with rosewood body binding.

Sound character of the Cordoba C5-CET Limited
The solid spruce top keeps the attack bright and defined, and spalted maple back and sides (rather than the classical-standard rosewood or mahogany) push the tone toward more articulate, less bass-heavy territory - the reduced 70mm body depth further trims low-end resonance, making this a stage-focused thinbody built around the Fishman Presys II preamp.

The history of the Cordoba C5-CET Limited
The C5-CET Limited sits within Cordoba's Iberia line, which pairs traditional Spanish classical-guitar construction with the amplification and reduced body depth that nylon-string players increasingly wanted for live performance; the spalted maple back/sides mark this as a limited-run variant of Cordoba's standard C5 electro-classical.
