A Torres-style classical with cedar-over-mahogany tonewoods: Spanish fan bracing, Spanish heel construction, a two-way truss rod, and premium gold tuners.
About the Cordoba C9 Cedar Classical Guitar
The C9 pairs a solid Western red cedar top with solid African mahogany back and sides, built in the style of Antonio de Torres - the 19th-century luthier whose fan-bracing pattern and proportions established the modern classical guitar form. Construction uses Spanish heel joinery, with the mahogany neck at a C profile, 650mm scale and full classical 52mm nut width.
The fingerboard is rosewood with an ebony bridge, bone nut and saddle, and Indian rosewood binding. Unlike many classical guitars, the C9 includes a two-way adjustable truss rod for neck relief adjustment. Hardware is premium gold-finished tuning machines, strung with Savarez Cristal Corum strings, finished in natural high-gloss polyurethane.

Sound character of the Cordoba C9 Cedar Classical Guitar
The solid Western red cedar top responds quickly with a warm, dark fundamental, and pairing it with solid African mahogany back and sides keeps the tone focused and direct rather than shimmering with overtones the way rosewood would - Spanish heel construction and a two-way truss rod add stability without changing the fundamentally warm, mellow Torres-style voice.
