About the Cordoba Fusion 5
The Fusion 5 pairs a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides on a full-depth classical body (unlike Cordoba's thinbody CE/CET line, it keeps standard body depth) and adds a cutaway for upper-fret access. Where it departs from a traditional classical is the neck: a 3-piece mahogany neck at 48mm nut width and a 16-inch fingerboard radius, both narrower and more curved than the 52mm flat necks on Cordoba's standard classicals, aimed at players coming from steel-string or electric guitar who find a full 52mm neck unfamiliar.
The fingerboard is pau ferro with 19 frets total, 12 to the body, joined via a dovetail neck joint at the classical-standard 650mm scale. Electronics are a Fishman Presys VT system - an undersaddle piezo pickup and onboard preamp with volume, treble, bass and a VT (voicing) control, powered through a combination battery-box/output jack. The rosette is a pearl decal rather than hand-inlaid wood, and the guitar ships in Gloss Natural, Jet-Black or a flamed-mahogany Sonata Burst finish.

Sound character of the Cordoba Fusion 5
The solid spruce top adds brightness and clear attack while the mahogany back and sides bring warmth and midrange body - a balanced, full-depth combination that retains real acoustic resonance despite the slim, steel-string-style fusion neck, with the Fishman Presys VT preamp carrying that same balance into an amplified signal.

The history of the Cordoba Fusion 5
The Fusion 5 is part of Cordoba's Fusion series, built specifically to bridge steel-string and classical playing technique through the narrower, radiused neck rather than through body depth or bracing changes, making it one of the brand's more common recommendations for electric/acoustic players wanting to add nylon-string tone without relearning hand position.
