A thinbody, gig-oriented nylon-string: chambered mahogany body with a solid spruce/flame maple top, a Fishman-co-developed Stage pickup system, and a flatter 16-inch fingerboard radius for players coming from steel-string or electric guitars.
About the Cordoba Stage Nylon Acoustic
The Stage departs from traditional classical guitar proportions to prioritize stage playability: a chambered mahogany body just 38mm thick, topped with solid spruce and a flame maple veneer, using a custom 3-piece fan top brace and ladder-braced back rather than full traditional Spanish bracing. The set mahogany neck carries an ebony fingerboard at a comparatively flat 16-inch radius and 48mm nut - narrower than a traditional classical guitar's 52mm, making the transition easier for electric or steel-string players.
The defining feature is the Stage pickup system, co-developed with Fishman, offering independent volume, EQ, and body-blend controls to dial in tone for stage or studio use without the boomy or artificial character common to basic under-saddle systems on nylon-string guitars. Hardware includes Cordoba's distinctive Honeycomb tuners in nickel, with ivory-colored binding and ebony control knobs.

Sound character of the Cordoba Stage Nylon Acoustic
The solid spruce/flame maple top adds brightness and clear attack, while the chambered mahogany body keeps the midrange focused and the sound controlled rather than boomy - together with a flatter 16-inch fingerboard radius, it's voiced for direct, amplified projection through the Fishman Stage system rather than pure acoustic resonance.

The history of the Cordoba Stage Nylon Acoustic
Cordoba introduced the Stage as a response to nylon-string players who wanted genuinely electric-guitar-like stage playability and amplified tone without abandoning the nylon-string sound, aimed at crossover and contemporary players rather than classical purists.
