A synth-access nylon-string built for amplified performance: a chambered mahogany body with a solid cedar top, a 12-fret neck join, and custom RMC electronics with a 13-pin connector for direct control of guitar synthesizers.
About the Godin Multiac Grand Concert Nylon SA
The Multiac Grand Concert SA combines classical guitar tone with electric-instrument practicality: a chambered mahogany body under a solid cedar top, with a mahogany neck joining the body at the 12th fret rather than the more common 14th, shifting the bridge position for a specific tonal balance. The fingerboard is Richlite, a resin-composite material chosen for stability, at a comparatively narrow 2-inch nut and flat 24-inch radius, bound in cream.
The defining feature is Godin's custom RMC (Roland-Ready) electronics with a 13-pin connector, allowing direct connection to Roland GR-series and Axon AX100 guitar synthesizers without an external converter - letting players trigger synth and MIDI sounds directly from the nylon-string's strings. Hardware includes gold die-cast tuners, finished in natural or white high-gloss.

Sound character of the Godin Multiac Grand Concert Nylon SA
The solid cedar top gives a warm, quick-responding fundamental, but the chambered mahogany body dampens acoustic resonance compared to a full hollow classical - this is primarily a stage and studio instrument, with the custom RMC electronics and 13-pin synth output designed to translate the nylon-string signal cleanly for amplification or guitar-synth tracking rather than to project unplugged.

The history of the Godin Multiac Grand Concert Nylon SA
Godin, a Canadian guitar maker, developed the Multiac line specifically to bridge acoustic nylon-string tone with the amplified and synth-integration needs of touring and studio guitarists, a niche traditional classical guitar makers generally don't address.
