Availability: 2/10 (Very rare)
A classical guitar built for steel-string and electric players: a thinner, C-shaped mahogany neck at a reduced 48mm nut, a radiused ebony fingerboard, and a two-way truss rod - alongside traditional solid European spruce and Indian rosewood tonewoods.
About the Cordoba C10 Crossover
The C10 Crossover keeps traditional classical guitar tonewoods - a solid European spruce top with fan bracing over solid Indian rosewood back and sides - while changing the neck to feel more familiar to players coming from steel-string or electric guitars. The mahogany neck has a thin C-shaped profile with a 16-inch fingerboard radius (traditional classical necks are flat) and a reduced 48mm nut width against the classical-standard 52mm, joined to the body via a Spanish heel at the 25.6-inch scale.
The ebony fingerboard carries 19 frets with side-position dot inlays at the 5th, 7th and 9th frets for visual orientation - another departure from unmarked traditional classical fingerboards. A two-way adjustable truss rod, uncommon on classical guitars, lets players make neck adjustments the way they would on a steel-string instrument. Hardware is bone nut and saddle, included with a lightweight polyfoam case.

Sound character of the Cordoba C10 Crossover
The solid European spruce top gives more brightness and headroom than a cedar top, and the solid Indian rosewood back and sides add rich, complex overtones and long sustain - but the thinner, C-shaped neck at a reduced 48mm nut and radiused ebony fingerboard are built to give steel-string and electric players a more direct, familiar attack than a traditional wide classical neck.

The history of the Cordoba C10 Crossover
Cordoba developed the Crossover line specifically to address a common barrier for guitarists wanting to explore nylon-string playing: the unfamiliar wide, flat neck of traditional classical guitars. The C10 has become one of the company's best-selling models as a result.
