About the Ibanez GSRM20B Gio miKro Soundgear
The Gio miKro series shrinks Ibanez's Soundgear bass down to a shorter scale length and smaller overall body, aimed at younger players or anyone who finds a full-scale bass too large to handle comfortably. The GSRM20B shares its core specification - slim SR-style neck, single humbucking pickup, lightweight body - with the standard GSRM20, differing primarily in cosmetic finish rather than construction or electronics.
As part of Ibanez's budget Gio line, it prioritizes affordability and approachable scale over premium woods or active electronics, making it a practical starter instrument rather than a gigging bassist's primary bass.

Sound character of the Ibanez GSRM20B Gio miKro Soundgear
As a short-scale mini bass aimed at smaller players and travel use, the miKro's single passive humbucker on a poplar body prioritizes simplicity and hum-free output over tonal nuance - the shorter scale reduces string tension and lowers the fundamental's clarity somewhat compared to a full-scale bass, giving a functional but less defined low end.
