A Torres-inspired traditional classical: solid cedar top over solid rosewood back and sides with ladder bracing, mahogany neck at the classical-standard 51mm nut, and no electronics.
About the Takamine C132S
The C132S follows the body proportions and bracing style of Antonio Torres, the 19th-century Spanish luthier whose designs set the template most modern classical guitars still follow, rather than Takamine's own steel-string-derived acoustic shapes. The top is solid cedar over ladder bracing (a simpler, more traditional pattern than the fan bracing used on higher Takamine classicals), paired with solid rosewood back and sides that push projection and brightness compared to the mahogany used on the brand's entry classicals.
The neck is mahogany at the classical-standard 51mm nut width, with a rosewood fingerboard, and includes a dual-action truss rod - an addition not found on traditional handmade Spanish classicals, letting the neck be adjusted both ways rather than relying on wood stability alone. There is no pickup or preamp: the C132S is a purely acoustic instrument, finished in gloss natural, and ships with a hardshell case.

Sound character of the Takamine C132S
The solid cedar top gives a warm, quick-responding fundamental and solid rosewood back and sides add rich overtones and sustain, but the ladder bracing (rather than the fan bracing typical of Spanish classicals) favors a more direct, percussive attack with less sustain and complexity than a fan-braced top.
