About the Kala KA-JTE Archtop

The KA-JTE borrows its design language directly from jazz archtop guitars: an arched spruce top with F-holes rather than a round soundhole, mahogany back and sides, and pearloid body binding for a vintage jazz-instrument look. That's a distinct construction approach from Kala's flat-top ukuleles, aimed at a different tonal character - archtops generally produce a punchier, more midrange-focused sound suited to rhythm comping.

At a 16.875-inch tenor scale with 18 frets on a rosewood fingerboard, it includes a UK-300TR pickup system built around Shadow's Nanoflex technology with 3-band EQ, letting it plug directly into an amp or PA for stage use.
